Comprehensive Evaluations
Comprehensive evaluations measure patients’ communication skills. During the evaluation, the speech-language pathologists will determine the patient's strengths and weaknesses for stuttering, vocabulary, receptive and expressive language, and reading. The speech therapists will use formal assessments, behavioral observations, parent input, and background information to determine if a communication problem is present.
Individual Therapy
Speech therapy services will be individualized while using evidence-based practice. Sessions can be 30 minutes, 45 minutes, or 60 minutes. Therapy sessions can be provided virtually or face-to-face. Clients can receive assistance with increasing their vocabulary, literacy, receptive language, expressive language, articulation, and fluency skills.
Consultations
We partner with parents to strengthen communication skills. Our parent consultations provide personalized guidance to help parents understand their child’s speech and language development, learn strategies, and review progress. During a consultation, we review current skills and progress, share home-based strategies and activities, answer questions about therapy, milestones, or next steps, and more.
Hammonds Speech & Language Services also partners with educators to support student success. We work directly with school teams to ensure students receive the communication support they need in their learning environment.
